Well , of to Whitby today via Leeds ,to see the family.
statred Sunday from Norfolk sunny but was clouding up as we progressed north.
crossed the yorkshire moors from York and on to Whitby , a beautiful but short journey. You can see the abbey from some distance on a good day but the sea mist was shrouding in, very Dracula like, temperature dropping also.
we are staying in a little cottage, Doris cottage to be precise.

A great position to tour Whitby.
it turned very misty and cool we were shore Dracula was making a return, you can see the Abbey from the cottage, very erre looking at it through the mist.
this is a great place for pubs, restuarants and coffee bars.
Alan and Cath joined us for the weekend, they had left Leeds in extrem heat wearing summer clothes, were they in for a shock when they arrived when it was 10 degrees.
We had coffee at Sherlocks, very quaint
Also had a great meal at the Abbey Restaurant
By late Sunday the mist lifted and the temperature.
